The Jungle Book Afternoon Tea

Step into a world shrouded in wonder, where the untamed magic of the jungle meets the quiet ceremony of afternoon tea. Inspired by the National Theatre’s captivating new adaptation of The Jungle Book, this limited-edition experience at The Stage Champagne Bar invites guests of all ages on an extraordinary culinary adventure, encircled by curling vines and glowing lanterns.

Created by Bake Off: The Professionals champions Ashish Wagh and Loki Alexa, an exquisite collection of handcrafted pâtisserie and refined savouries is paired with a curated tea menu by Newby Teas. Discover tributes to the beloved jungle characters across the cake stand and bespoke cocktail menu, or savour a glass of Nyetimber English sparkling wine. Younger explorers can embark on their own journey with a specially curated children’s afternoon tea.

£2 from the purchase of each afternoon tea will be paid to Royal National Theatre Enterprises Limited which gives its taxable profits to The Royal National Theatre (Charity no. 224223). Each visit helps support the magic of live theatre for generations to come.

The Stage pours a reserve list of more than 45 Champagnes, including four featured Champagnes from independent maisons, alongside Champagne cocktails, wine, and loose-leaf tea from Newby Teas.

Please note credit card details will be required to guarantee all bookings.

Tables for afternoon tea must be returned within 2 hours. Tables for five guests or more must be returned within 2.5 hours.

No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee of £50 per guest.

No cancellation fee will be charged for reservations cancelled outside of 24 hours.

Yes, The Stage offers live music performances.

Friday: 8:30pm to 11:30pm.

Saturday: 1pm to 3:45pm and from 8:30pm until 11:30pm.

Sunday: 1pm to 3:45pm

For the comfort of other guests and to maintain the ambience of The Stage, we kindly request that our guests refrain from using laptops after 5pm Monday to Friday, and not at all on weekends. Guests who wish to work on their devices after 5pm are welcome to move to The Residence, a collection of relaxing spaces reserved for hotel guests only.
